FESAPCA

The Master’s degree in Chemistry and Life Sciences (Master Chimie et sciences du vivant) is registered in the French National Register of Professional Certifications (Répertoire National des Certifications Professionnelles – RNCP) under no.38705, level 7, published by France Compétences on 01/03/2024 under the authority of the French Ministry of Higher Education and Research and the Université Versailles Saint Quentin en Yvelines.

The Professional Master’s degree FESAPCA (ex-FESIPCA), is a post- bachelor’s degree program in science (chemistry, biochemistry, etc.) and a work-study program. Its aim is to train company executives with a high level of scientific training, particularly in chemical analysis, and solid professional skills in formulation, legislation and sensory analysis, complemented by the ability to take on responsibility and make decisions. Graduates work in R&D laboratories, analysis and quality control laboratories, sensory evaluation laboratories, as well as in design and new project management teams.

The École Supérieure du Parfum & de la Cosmétique provides all professional training in perfume, cosmetics and food flavoring, while the UVSQ Université Paris-Saclay provides scientific training.

This scientific and professional Master’s degree is a 2-year work-study program in the cosmetics, perfume or food flavorings industry. The course is 2 months in the company/2 months in class, over two years (with a period of almost 5 months in the company between the end of M1 and the start of M2).

The procedures for acquiring certification by capitalizing on blocks of skills and/or by equivalence are defined by each accredited certifier, which implements the arrangements it deems appropriate. These procedures may vary according to the pathway to certification: apprenticeship, initial training, VAE, professional development.
